This name came out of nowhere to me when I heard she was appearing on last weekend’s Saturday Night Live. In fact, during the commercials I thought they were announcing “Del” as the musical guest, which had me wondering if they meant the funky homosapien?

It’s not too surprising that she would go under my radar, as it’s not a hip-hop track (yet…), but I’ve been make more of an effort lately to expand my musical horizons.

I get the same vibe from hearing Adele as I did the first time I heard Amy Winehouse- as she seems to be resurrecting an older sound that’s based on pure talent and raw vocal ability. There’s a lot of passion and emotion in this track, which is something hip-hop is often missing.
